The The Duke of Edinburgh has been named Royal Patron of Berkshire's award-winning professional theatre, Reading Rep.

The appointment comes as the theatre celebrates its tenth anniversary year, and the Royal commented 'Reading Rep is creating pathways to the performing arts for young people, regardless of background, and it is introducing new audiences to the performing arts through its outreach and access activities. I look forward to helping with reinforcing this theatre’s inspiring work in the local community and to supporting its future endeavours'.
